Weld on or bolt on front end

I am replacing the front end on my 1951 Chevy coupe. I hear that Fat Man makes a bolt on mustang II front clip and that it is better to use than a weld on due to the frame construction of the 51 chevy. Does anyone know if bolt on is the way to go for my specific year hot rod?

to weld or not to weld....

I did a 51 this past Feb. And told the owner to get the bolt in from Chassis Engineering , as their kit for the rear "bolt in " was a breeze to install I would of went with their front end . The stang II weld in wasn't that hard to do but many issues with the frame rail for the steering shaft. If you can contact area51 here in Hotrodders he might of posted the pics . I like the feature CE has for the coils for adjustment check out their info on their front end ., It's got my vote . If you got with the weld in before you put the coils in cut off from the bottom one coil otherwise you
cant cet the A arms on the spindles it appeared to be too
tall of a spring on the last 2 front end installs I did.

good luck
