weld on nuts?

is there a way to install new weld on nuts with a welder dont want to tack weld with mig want to have oem look thanks

I have made square nuts from flat stock and plug welded them in for the original look.

weld on nuts

I have the oem ones with the little nubs sticking out just wanted to know how to attach them with welder for oem look

Plug weld them, just drill a hole in the sheetmetal, clamp or bolt them in place and then weld the nut through the hole.

ok, but how do you put a bolt throught it ? i guess i'm missing something here.

Here is the deal..Drill a small hole in the "nubs" sticking out from the nut and weld through those holes..You may wish to try McMaster Carr as they may have that sort of captive nut with the holes already drilled..

Go to McMaster Carr website and search for nut plates and the various designs show up..
