welder
I am going to be buying a new mig welder soon. I want a 110v unit. I thought about buying the 500 dollar one from Summit, the Lincoln. Anybody got any ideas. I'd like to not spend more than 500. Thanks

Another Okie on the board...that's good. What part of OK are you in. I go to school in Edmond, but I am in Tulsa on weekends.
As to a welder, you can get a good 110V mig for $500. I have a Hobart 135 (I think). It works great. I foudn it in the newspaper for $175 with a bottle. It works great. I haven't used a Lincoln, so I don't know about them. |
Uh Oh, Edmond as in UCO? I go to NSU in tahlequah. :boxing: j/k I pledge no allegiance to this school. What paper did you find that In? like the bargain post? thanks

Actually I go to Oklahoma Christian University. This is my last semester. I found mine in the Tulsa World. You should try ebay too. I saw a refurb lincoln on there for just over $300.

I just bought a lincoln 175 amp 220 input for $400 on ebay and it was new in the box, still sealed from the factory with warranty.

lincoln
I would suggest the lincoln......
Quality. |
Unless you are dead set on a 110v model, for whatever reason, I would go with one of the smaller 220v units like the Miller 175. They offer much more flexibility in the material they will weld, and duty cycle.
