welding
Can you weld cromemoly to steel? Also can you mig weld it or do you need to tig it? If so what gas would you use and wire?

Yes you can weld Chrome molly to steel. Yes you can mig weld steel. Use argon /c02 mix.

It's done all the time, ER70S-2 wire is good for welding CM such as 4130, also E8018-B2 if you use stick. These are just suggestions and are by no means the only wire/rod you can use. C25 gas for the MIG. How thick is the material you are welding? Tube maybe?
