Welding equipment cart pictures needed.

I'm getting better with my welding (still not good enough to post pictures of...), and am thinking about making myself a cart. I have a wheeled base that my Lincoln 225 unit fits on quite nicely, but I have about 16-20" of space to occupy behind it on the lower level (I want my Century 85 on a second level). Basically, I'm looking for some "idea" pictures if anybody wants to contribute. I'd greatly appreciate it.

Just a thought (probably another wrong answer), but do you want to be wheeling all that weight around? I would build separate carts for each........

Here's a couple of ideas for you.

Boy oh boy was that quick, Thank You.

The weight shouldn't be much of an issue at all. We use bases just like these at work for under our tool boxes (and I've got about the same weight on my frame at work as what I figure the welders should weigh. I also like the idea of having less of a "footprint" by having both together rather two separate carts. But I see what you mean about the heft.

If I could weld a lot better, I'd build that first one. I think (out of the three so far), I'll shoot for making a 4 supporting leg unit similiar to the last one shown. Nice straight cuts of 1" square tubing (I really need to get my Sawz-all back from my Father-in-law) and a couple uprights of 1" angle shouldn't be too tough. Thanks again.

Pepi, thanks for the links, I found one really close to what I want to make. I need to get my wife to re-install the camera software so I can show you guys what I"m starting with, and what I end up with.

Here's the one that's close...Welding cart

Hey Chet,

I just did one of these, did you still need to see some pics? I was running out of shop space so I needed some way to meld my tombstone (AC-225) and mig(fabricator 130) into one unit.

Cheers,
-David

Not really for me anymore, David, but maybe for somebody else looking for ideas. I welded one up pretty close to what I wanted. I know I need to post a pic or two of mine since it's done, but I'd like to clean up a few welds and paint it (to help cover the really bad welds...). I just am not finding the time to make it all look good. Hopefully in a week or so....

...I figured I'd dig this back up (since I finally got my welds painted---er smoothed over) and show what I built a while back for a welder cart. I did this with scrap metal I had hovering around, so the completed price was about $20 (plus a lifetime of gratitude to cboy). The "box" that the torch kits are in (the torch, the MAPP gas kit, and the propane burner) was a recent addition, though. It is removable from the rest of the cart for added torch portability. Finally got it all done, and painted my favorite color to boot. Now to get back to making a mess.....
