Well I did not think it could get worse!!
It did! I rebuilt my holley 750.There are 2 5/16" tubes that come out the top of the carb. I have gas squirting out of the top of the back tube, Any ideas what I did wrong ? Thanks for any help.

Needle and seat, bad, missed, out of adjustment.
Or float in a bind.

Remove the bowl and look at it, it should be obvious.

If you don't make mistakes. your not doing anything.

What should the gap on the back of the float ( the metal piece that contacts the seat) set at. I should be able to set that with a feeler gage, right? I have the holley rebuild book and it says to set it with a pencil under the float. I had no luck at that so now I would like to set it with feeler gage if anyone knows the setting. Thanks

Never seen anyone set the floats with a feeler gage. Try holding the float bowl upside. Adjust the float so that the top of the float is level with the cast in boss around the screw holes. The float should now be parallel with the flat area on the inside of the float bowl. This would be the top when you turn it right side up. If that doesn't get your float close enough to run some is wrong with your needle and seat.
