Well i picked up the fiero.

Ill get pics as soon as i can. This little car will be pretty cool, i replaced the theromostat before i drove it home, it works great, interior is awesome, except the side of the drivers seat where poeple got in and out of the car, but i can get a new one easy enough. She does need painted but other than those 2 things, nothing is wrong with it. It scoots for a little 2.8 LOL, prolly much much better after this motor poops out and i put something else in.

Nice little cars

The Viero 2.8 is a great engine and they are in a Cool little car. Have fun, my son in law really likes his. His father bought it new and gave it to him for graduation. It has like 20,000miles on it and just got the first new set of tires. The old ones were beginning to dry rot.

The 84 was the problem year. I know, I had one. Build up a V6 or a V8 and with the motor over the rear tires and the light weight of that thing, it will fly. HG

What a coincidence!

Congrats on the new toy. A friend and I were talked the other day about doing up a Fiero, we found 3 sites that might be helpful to you.

http://www.fieroownersclub.com/photo.../pht6_JPG.html

or

www.hotrodder.com/emarsh/

or

www.v8archie.com/finale.htm

If you use the sites, send me a pm and let me know how it goes

Cheers

let's have some pics!

c'mon, you know everyone wants to see your new toy. v8archie seems to be the guy to go to for v-8 swaps, and apparently it's not that awfully tight a fit. by the way (someone in an earlier thread commented on this...) even the stock engine drops out of the body, it doesn't lift out. same with a v-8.
Rubberman... I just picked up an 85 GT for $700. needs some work, hoping it's just a head gasket and not a cracked money pit... i mean, block or head. at least parts are decently cheap - 20 bucks for 2 head gaskets. Good luck with yours! i'll try to keep you updated on mine.
