Welting Source

I recently committed to a new hardtop project on my vintage jeep. It is actually a right hand 1976 Mitsubishi J54 that was imported from Japan. The vehicle is a collaboration of American and Japanese manufacturing. Pretty much the body is a Willys CJ3b w/RHD and the engine is a Japanese 4DR5 diesel.

I recently found a hardtop (very rare and in need of serious body work) for the jeep. My jeep has the original welting, similar to a model T, around the hood to grille seam. I would like to find a similar welting to meet the hardtop to tub body seam. The welting has a double bead with an area in the middle for rivets. I would like to keep the vintage look and feel like a modern synthetic welting would not be attractive with the hardtop off.

I promise as soon as I learn this trade on these beast, I will be posting more interesting vehicles! I included some pics of the jeep's welting and hardtop. Once again, thank you guys for all the help.

Thank you for the links! I'll be able to find something that will work from one of them.

Thanks again,
John
