Went to an event last night at Blackhawk auto museum.
I didn't have my camera so I don't have a ton of photos like usual. I have visited this museum before, it's FIRST CLASS in every way. It is a Smithsonian affiliate and I have seen some traveling exhibits there on presidential art and that sort of thing. But last night was a local autobody association meeting. We ate among the cars as this photo from their web site shows.
What an amazing night, the food was spectacular, great people, and the museum is just amazing. During the event I walked to the restroom but took a little detour :mwink: upstairs to see the cars. I found myself in this room...
It was kinda "surreal", here I am walking thru this thing without another soul with this classical music piped in softly. It was like it was my own private garage.
Here is the link to the museums site. Honestly, amazing place.
Ya know Brian, I really enjoy it when you go somewhere because the places you go are so interesting, & along with your usual montage of photos, it's almost like being there.
Thank you for sharing.
Richard, between being blessed with a lot of good opportunities and a willingness to not go to my death bed wishing I had done something, I do see a lot of wonderful things.
I have to tell you, a number of guys from the shop had never been to anything like this and their eyes were as big as saucers. The "normal" cars there are simply spectacular. There was a few "A" bodies and Vettes there and the one offs like the Alfa "BATS" (they have THREE) are too wild for words. The presentation of these cars is as if they were fine works of art (which they are) and you forget they are cars.
