wet sanding dry spots?
 

Hello,
Painted my car yesterday and came out real nice with just a few dust nibs and some dry spots. Just curious if the dry spots can be wet sanded and polished up like normal. I expect they can since the wet sanding removes the gloss as well but just wanted to make sure.

how many coats of clear? if the dry spot is just on the last coat a clear you can get away with sanding with 2000 or 2500.

Sometimes after my 3rd or 4th coat of clear i will see somthin (an edge or somethin) and hit it a little bit and will leave a little dry spot around the edge where it didn't melt in completely. No problems with sanding it out as everything that leaves out the door is cut and buffed.

Yes, only in the last coat. The previous coat was very wet and slick.
