What is this?

I saw this car in Hot Rod magazine, Jan 06 issue, pg 32. It has a cool interior that covers the back seats, and is shaped as a cone restung up against the back of the front seats.... The car is a '70 Cuda. What is that thing called? Where did it come from? LOL Do they sell those somewhere or did he make that?

its a tonneau cover, which is almost never used in a car with a stationary roof

design is rather simple, but actualy building it can be difficult depending on your skills

in teh car you posted its just a vertical support framework across the back of the seats, a horizintal framework to form the top surface however you like, then stretch cloth out across exerything to form the initial surface

cloth wont tear like fiberglass mat would, so its easier to use as the starter layer

i forget what the pros use when building sculpted speaker enclosures, felt maybe ? it was something that was rather thick, so that the cloth could absorb alot of resin,

Not felt, but fleece. Sold in the fabric departments at the local Wally World and other places.
