what is all the info I will need to order 4.11 gears?

I have a ford 9" and 30" tall tires. full spool. There is 3.73 gears in it right now, which were there because before the current engine there was a much more powerful engine in the car. Now, I want to switch to 4.11 richmond gears. I have gone to there page, gone into the ford section, into the 9" section, and got the part number for 4.11 gears (69-0179-1). I am an amateur with differentials, I know some, but Im confused here..

Do I only need to order this ring and pinion set with the part number given, or do I need to make sure of other things first? This is my first gear swap, and I wont be doing the work, but I do want to know what's going on and how to order the right parts.

9 in rebuild ?

First you need to do more research... There are lots of magazine articles on the Ford 9 In, utube videos,, DVD's shop manuals ...web info. etc. the parts needed depends on how good yours is, , bearing condition , andy cracks in the case... etc and you will need new gaskets and seals , tools dial indicator.. etc

yep, I've seen (but not necessarily read) hundreds of posts about differential questions, so I didn't think this would be easy. I guess I just got get into it from square one, just like I did on every other system like the engine, suspension and interior.

I didnt think it would be that easy, so it looks like Im either gonna have to learn this myself or go to Randy's Ring and Pinion

Yes you can order it by that part#. That is the standard/non pro gear set. For the correct brg kit you will need to know what carrier brgs you have and which pinion support you have.
