What are all these wires

I took the cover off this Valco wiper motor and I got 3 wires going to one area and 2 going to another. Got any ideas what all these do? Is one is high speed and one low speed? Also does the ground go through the case or one of these wires? I got this from a jeep junkyard.

Try to adapt a GM wiper motor to your project. They are easy to obtain new or used. Wiring is odd but remained the same for at least 20 years.
Somebody help me with the years, say '60 to '85?

Detroit Speed sells a awsome vari speed wiper system, complete with switch etc...... kinda proud of it tho' but it was super easy to install and I have delay wipers, I took an OEM knob and mounted it to their switch.....it came with a billet knob.

Sometimes rebuilding the vacuum wipers with new leather washers will work just fine. Adding a tomato juice can (66 to 70 Olds) style vacuum canister will eliminate that dreadful pause in the wipers when you get on the throttle. Most people don't drive in the rain anyways!
