what axle i have????
i have an axle (10 bolts) that i can not get any info on... casting # is 3917123NF and with the code FL0216B on the passanger side ... can someone tell me which one is this?? or send me to the right site or page.. tnx in advance...
P.s... it has 37 teeth on the big one and 10 teeth on the small ones, and 16 teeth on the medium side ones... the big gear also has a casting # 3790628 ' 11 ' 37 ' 2 ' 68 ..... Last edited by jackyandjoe; 06-19-2003 at 10:47 AM.

#3790628 corresponds to the 3.36 gearset. The 37 11 marking refers to the number of teeth on each gear. I think the 2 68 may be the manufacture date. See this site:

nothing helpfull on that site,, tnx anyways.. that gear belongs to a 3.36 however, why is the small gear only 10 teeth when it should be 11 in order to make it 3.36., the 37 10 combination belongs to a 3.70 but this is odd,,, however i know nothing about this issue... still not able to find anything on the casting number... the only thing i found was that the FL on the code belons to a 1968 chevelle however the casting number on the axle was not the same... who know... still lost here...
