what is the best dual mastercylinder for my 55 chevy non-power
Hey guys
What i have is a 55 chevy with non- power disc brakes in the front, drum in the rear, also a adjustable proportioning block,, at this time i only have a signal bowl master cylinder and i want to change it to a dual bowl cylinder. what is the best dual master to use w/o alot of mods when not having a power disc set up.... I would change to a power set up but im running a big cam in my car and it dont produce alot of vacuum for power brakes and i really dont want to run a vacuum canister on my car.... I take the 55 down the track at least 1's a month and it stops great right now but you guys know's what happens when you pop a brake line with a signal bowl master cylinder NO BRAKES LOL,,,, Any info on what is the best 1 to use and what all has to be done to make it work would be very helpful Thanks |

If I remember correctly my 55 has a 76 corvette dual bowl , non power. It attaches to the lower two bolts ( same spacing) back with a pic

Thanks, It's been 10 years, but I dont remember any mods to the petal rod. I'm thinking thats the reason this swap was so popular.
