A roller cam has rollers on the bottom of the lifters. Its a little wheel thats causes less friction. Also the cam lope will have steeper lifts and drops. The wheel lets you use a more radical design. Usually a roller cam has a lot more lift than a flat tappet cam. For the street I dont see where you need a roller cam. They are good for high rpm stuff but they are a lot more expensive. You can buy about 3 cam/lifter sets for the price of a roller cam/lifter set. I have heard a lot of people rave about the 268h cam from Comp but have no experience with it. I once thought they were the way to go but the cost outweighs the gain. At least thats my opinion.
