i got this car from a guy while back and he said it was a 400 destrocked to a 383 but after reading the block ## its 3932386 ive gone to web sites and they all say its a 302 327 350 so how would i find out what it is .is there more ## to look for on my engine.and were do i look??

its a four inch bore block check numbers on the crank [if the motor is apart,or at least not in the car] you use a 302,327,350 block with a 400 crank to get a 383.
