Maybe they should post the names of the parents who don't want the honor students' names posted on honor rolls on a "shame roll" of their own . 'Cause it's a damn shame when a dedicated, high-aiming student's accomplishments are minimized to soothe the "feelings" of the average or underachiever.

Always found it retarded that the honor roll kids got so much extra attention and free ****. In fact I found it down right unfair!

Shouldnt matter if you get a D or an A, as long as you pass you should be treated equally. Having an honor roll and extra privledges feels the the starting of "you will be rich", "you will be poor".

And it's true! Honor roll stundents get TONS of free **** and discounts, damn snobs!

Seems to me like instead of shaming the lower grade students, they should spend all those extra honor roll student funds on making the lower grade students catch up.

I never went above and beyond to strive to get on the honor roll, or to graduate at the top of my class in high school(graduated with a low 3 something GPA). And if you look now, one of the top 5 got knocked up and is on welfare, and 2 more never decided to do anything other than work at a factory. The others are indeed enrolled in a university. Even so, I'm the first of our class to graduate from collage, and with a Bachelor's. So the honor roll don't mean jack.

So I really don't care about the honor roll, but I will agree this is a BS reason for banishing it.
