You must know the static compression ratio of the motor in order to be able to intelligently choose a cam.
This computation involves 5 values. 1. Cylinder volume in cc's. 2. Chamber volume in cc's. 3. Piston crown volume in cc's. 4. Piston deck height volume in cc's 5. Compressed head gasket volume in cc's. If you have this information, please post it. If you don't have it, can you get it? In the end, someone will accurately suggest that you should call the tech at your favorite cam grinder. He will also want to know the static compression ratio and a little more about the car and your intentions before he recommends a cam for you. |
