I am not sure what carb to use with the engine that I am building. Here is what I have:

Chevy 350 4-bolt main Bored .60 over.
9:1 compression pistons.
Summit cam (.460 lift)
.194/.180 heads w/ 3 angle valve job.
Stock rockers
Edelbrock Performer RMP intake.

Right now I have an edelbrock 750 cfm carb on there now, but I don't like edelbrock carbs. I want to get a holley but am open to any suggestions. I really don't care about gas mileage because this is not my daily driver. Let me know what you think.

The car its in is a 1983 oldsmobile cutlass supreme.

I would go with a Holley 4778-1 or 4778-2. They are both 700 double pumpers. The reason for the -1 or -2 is that those models came with the bell shaped truck boosters. These booster meter better in your powerband. If you go up to a 750 DP, it will come with downleg boosters. The downlegs won't meter as well. There is a lot of bottom end loss between the 4778s and the 4779s.

Dont you think a 700 Double Pumper is a lil to big for his engine? What about a 650 or 600?

I've found that iff ya go a little bit smaller in carb size than ya think, ( Iff ya can borrow a mates carb ,, or a few mates carbs )
you might find a 600 square bore holly close to what ya want,
but ya might need to go bigger, so ya find the carb close to what ya happy with and work with that. Each engine has its funny little ways.

Simply, whats the MAX RPM you plan to run it ? Im guessing maybe 5500 RPMs ?

Yeah the 5500 RMP range sounds about right.

Id use a 600 personallyif your stayin within 5500 RPMs
