Foreground pictures are Hot Rods; back ground pics are the beginnings of factory performance cars, except for the Hot Rod en-route to join his Buds. This is at the earliest, 1957 since I can recognize a 57 Fairlane Ford with its better end showing. Wonder where all the guys are that go with the "new stuff"?
Yeah, Ponch, I think you hit the nail on the head with your ID. Don't you just love those full moons on the Mod A? Trees |

Doc here, DUDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHERE THE HELL DID YOU FIND THAT PHOTO?? The reason I ask, I had to look long and hard...but it looks like one of our old hangouts, From the late 1950's to the mid 60's where I was raised in Oakland, California.. Kwikway Drive in on Broadway and Telegraph... After long hard stares, If I'm right, I can ID just about every building in the photo.. Directly behind, would Be Breuners Warehouse, just up from that would be the Bowling alley / Pool hall, just up from that (on the corner) Would be the Haufbrau (best Prime Rib in CA..Even today..) In the direct Background, would be the Grayhound Bus terminal..Across from the Hofbrau would be The Travel lodge Inn... The Kwikway Drive in's are STILL in business today..with 3 of the main locations still in operation (if correct, the one in the photo is one of them) The other two, Lakeshore Drive, (about 3 miles away..) and East 14 th and about 65 Ave..as well as the other sites (if it is the right photo) in the picture today... Doc

A "Deuce" is a 32 Ford.........a "T Bucket" is generally a 23-27 roadster......
There are many different terms.....
