[55 Glenn]

i have a complete running gear from a 55 chevy 2 door sedan that was hit by a tree last winter 350/4L60 etc--My question is what old bodies should i look for besides a 55 2 door that will fit the wheelbase?? I have had this car 10 years now and would like to see it back on the road?? thanks in advance for the advice--Glenn

55-57 Chevy bodies will fit that frame....How bad is your body? It may be worth saving. I can't imagine it being that bad, if the frame isn't bent too.

Im talking top crushed down to the dash -the posts behind the seat bent horizontally windows all busted dents big time in the hood and trunck --both doors mostly ripped off --this pine tree was 2 1/2 feet in diamiter and fell from 60 feet up --car was inside a fabric and pipe enclosure --the wifes crv got over 7 tho damage and it was only hit by 3 limbs is all--Was hopeing the frame and running gear that i restored a few years ago would fit something else as the 55-57 bodies are expensive --least the ones i have found w/o much rust--Glenn fiberglass ones are 15k$$$$ way over my budget

isn't the '57 frame a little diffrent because of the bumper mounting?
