I have an engine here that I know nothing about. I had to replace the starter and the one that finally fit was supposed to be for a Chevy 307, but that was all the info I have. Is there a site that I can punch in the EIN and get info on the make/model/year it originally came in?
thanks for any help. |

here are 2 links that might help you out. I dont know if they work for every chevy but they found mine. Not just for camaros like the title says. http://www.nastyz28.com/spmenu.html
On most engines the numbers that you need are on a pad infront of the passanger side bank of cyl. The pad projects out from the blocks deck and might be burried behind acc. or paint. if not there they can put them above the oil filter I think not real sure though. also on belhousing either side depending on what num your looking for. If nothing else you can find the year and what the heads are supposed to be on and that will rule out some possiblities. good luck . |
