What Did I Find?

Hey,
I was just cleaning out the trunk and interior of my new 1960 Olds 88 Convertible, and found this thing in an old torn-up box at the bottom of my trunk. It's a giant logo that is about 6-7" tall, 10" long, 3-4" deep, and is chrome plated.

The inside of it is hollow, and it has 3 bolts on the rear of it (one near the very top, and two holding on what looks to be a bracket in the middle of the piece.)

It's way too big to be a logo or an emblem on a car, so my first thought is that it may have been part of a sign or something like that.

I will be getting some actual pictures of it up in the next day or so, but until then, I did some drawings of it on MS Paint, just to give you an idea of what it looks like (In the rear view, the bolts are outlined in black).

Front View:

Rear View:

Does anyone have an idea of what it could be?

Thanks!!

Can you show a pic of the real piece?

Back then, they had some pretty gaudy chrome pieces.

Dude! The Star of David is a 6-pointed star with one point up, one point down and 2 points right and 2 points left (like 2 isosoles triangles laid over each other). This is one of the most recognized religious symbols in the world.
Don't you remember the tragic pictures from World War II Germany of the Jewish citizens with the cloth stars on their clothing? American military cemetaries with the rows of crosses and Stars of David in Normandy and throughout the world?

The most over used terms these days are "respect" and "disrespect". I certainly meant no disrespect in this post and have therefore reduced the letters to lower case to show my respect for adults who are 10 years older than myself. See how political correctness has even invaded the "outlaw" world of hot rods...and how silly does that sound?!

Dude........he is right. My dad used to be a custodian at a mall. He made a star one Xmas and put it on the roof of the mall....It had 6 points..........The owner of the mall did not like that one bit. Guess he was a little anti semetic. Made dad tear it down.

Bad Rat seemed to have taken it that way. Where I live you can get your arse kicked for calling someone a dude...it is disrespectful.....If the teenagers want to call each other that ....thats one thing....but its a no no to call an adult that. I would rather be called what I am....an old fart

No harm done guys,, it just seemed a little childish at the time,, the last time I was called dude was when a teenager backed into my car at a 7/11, ripped the fender off,,and told me "your problem DUDE,", kinda pissed me off..
I was just trying to be humorus about the star and preacher statement,, but it backfired,

[after thought edit,,] I would rather be a OLD FART too,,[ smells better]

Wow. I think if that guy would have said something like that to me I would have been speechless. That reminds me of the time my sister backed into my parked car and she blamed me for it!

It wasn't really a nice ending for the jerk,, his buddys called the cops,, and when the story came to a end,, he got a ticket , and I got satisfaction,
