What did my engine come out of

I have a 350 with 4 bolt mains the numbers on the side of the block are 30gm3970010 it also has a e64 on the right side of the bell housing. I've found traces of a nova an corvette off different sites someone please help

The 3970010 is about the most common SBC casting you will find and it was used in zillions of applications. You need to look on the passenger side of the block, behind the alternator. There is a code stamped there on the deck surface. This will be more specific.

The stamping you need would be similar to V0518TYC, the last three characters will tell you what vehicles it was available in. Take a look here:

There are about 4,or,5 010 blocks on Ebay ranging from $170 to $1,000.

The e64 is the casting date, May 6th of 1974. Since it's a 4 bolt main it is most likely out of a truck.
