Here's a shot of my very first car... A 1973 Camaro. This was the very first motor I built also..A 355 Chevy. 4 speed trans.. This was one very fun car to drive around... And It would bark all 4 gears also..

I think I just BARELY make the cut for this list

My first car was a 1973 Pontiac Grand Ville Convertible.



I bought it a couple years before I actually got my drivers license and spent some time working on it. Unfortunately, I only drove it about 6 months before a traffic accident totaled it. Luckily though, I had it insured, and for more than I owed on it, and had enough left over to buy my 1969 Pontiac GTO outright. It looked like this pretty much all through high school.



I didn't get it painted until the summer right before I went off to college. I still own that car, and it is a part of who I am. It is a part of my family as far as I am concerned. I have a daily driver now, so I don't have to abuse it as much as I used to, but that thing was my only transportation for a decade and I wouldn't trade it for the world.



Man, I wish I had the money to keep it looking that good. The paint job wasn't very well done, and well, it just hasn't lasted. It may look like a pile of junk now, but at least I can keep it running like a dream

Glad you found the thread, as you can see it has been quite successful by the numbers of participation. It looks like the Indian is in your blood forever, both of your rides would have been impressive for a highschooler and the GTO has become another legend. I had a gold with a black vinyl roof 66 model with 389 ci and three two barrels but I never really got a sentimental attachment to any car, seems I always saw another car I had to have.

Love your 69 Goat.

I bought a gold/gold 69 from my brother, it had the 400 and a borg-warner three speed. That car was a brute, had many adventures with it while I was in the nav. It always seemed easy to sell any of my cars, but like with the goat, I soon felt regret.

First ride was a 1965 chevy c10,350 4spd 4.11 very fun to drive. kept it for about a year, then got 1972 fast back mustang 302 c4. I have seen alot of cars come and go since then, But my fav was my 1967 98 olds ls 425ci .
