Tonight I cleaned up the front door sills in preparation for the floor install. I hadn't noticed it before, but the door sill is pretty much a straight line so I think I can break the sheet metal at a increasingly deep 90 toward the front and lap it over on top of the rail to retain the strength. Then I can just lay the flat panel of that side from the rail to the tunnel, and seam the two on the rail. Doing it in two pieces will be a lot better to tackle for my limited skills and easier to work with. I made up the patterns for the flat pieces and will do the patterns from the sill to the rails tomorrow. Not any progress to look at, but necessary. Bob
