Good luck with your gauge panel stitch626.
Brian, I have used packing foam as lens gaskets before but I'm not sure where I got it as it was years ago.
It is a dense white foam about 3/32 to 1/8" thick.
I'll be looking for some myself for the tail light lenses on the rambler.
I'll be assembling the lower end of my motor this morning with luck.
I had to send out my new rods to have the wrist pin bushings replaced because the last shop honed them oversize.

Finished the inside of my trunk.
I originally was going to carpet it and thought with the fuel cell and battery in there it might not be a good idea in case I have a fuel spill, or should I say, when I have a fuel spill.
Anyway, I ended up shooting it with reduced bed liner material and then an top coat of gray and black spatter paint and I must say I like the results.
I threw some of the hardware in the trunk so I can figure out the cleanest way to route the wiring and shot some pics.

Wish me luck putting this short block together.
You guys have a great day.

Edl
