My 70 LeMans stopped cranking over. So with my ohm meter I verified the 12V wire going to the trans neutral switch is ok. I measured 13K ohms across the disconnected neutral switch when it's closed. When open the switch measures infinite resistance. I don't know if 13K ohms is normal but I assume it's a current limiting resistance for the starter solenoid. I think I found the problem as a open in the wire from neutral switch to solenoid. Now to trace the wire through a harness.
Should be 0 ohms resistance across the terminals on the neutral start switch when it is closed. May have burnt contacts.
