Today I siliconed the second torn corner of the windshield rubber.
I rushed the whole job and totally screwed up my truck.
The palm print in the paint is nothing to the brutalized weather strip and all the dents in the hood from climbing up to get the lock strip in place. The black primer overspray is all over the cowl. Yellow overspray clings nicely to vinyl tonneau covers as well.
Looks like I'll have to order another rubber and redo it.
Hopefully taking the rubber off doesn't take off the new paint with it.
I guess it really doesn't matter as the whole paint is a fail on the truck. Masking tape will pull the paint off if you don't fold it back on itself and roll it off that way.
Sanded too smooth before applying the paint cause this?
