When I was 15, I bought a 60 Lark. It had a local fast car history and a room full of trophies. Originally a Paxton blown Stude engine then a small block Chevy. I bought the body, less engine ,trans and installed a nailhead Buick. Tons of fun! Blue and white candy stripe metalflake Nauga Hyde interior/ It's a shame all them Nauga's had to die!!
Dave's Packard was amazing! I never understood how such a big heavy car could go so quickly!
Kinda funny how we're reliving our youth now! My first gasser was in 1968, a '57 Chevy. Then replaced by a '55 Chevy gasser a couple years later. Now after building the Austin gasser I realised how much I missedd those cars of my youth, so had to build another gasser!
