Well today I got my feet wet on the top. I worked about five hours pulled the trim stick out about six or eight times repositioning the top and stapling it and it still looks like crap. I am hoping I can get this done.

I know one thing I wish I would have put nutserts and studs for the trim stick to mount to, I am still thinking about actually. Pulling that thing in and out with sheet metal screws (lag bolts really) into sheet metal is just crazy. But I am getting good at it.

Picked up a rear end today for my wifes 79 Camaro had to cut it out of a 74 rs camaro drum to drum at a farm + a wiper motor and a drivers door glass! it was 94 in the shade but naturally I was in the sunMy wife and I walked for 3 hrs looking at the cars in the woods and his fields

I could post more but I took pictures of 300 derelicts with many good parts it would become boreing To most of you!!!! But my son wife and myself had a blast and will be going back to look more and go deeper into the woods LOL

I was there 30 years ago they were there then but with less trees and brush the man that owns em is an ex racer called "Dirty Dick" Coon. He raced from the late 40s to the mid 70s hes in a wheel chair now in poor health has been for quite a while that's why the property is so run down and overgrown! hes still a rodder and racer at heart but is pushed around now in a wheel chair by his little wife and driven to hospitals. By the graces of god I hope it doesn't happen to any of us !!!! Its a blast to walk through all those cars and trucks and to talk to him his eyes lite up when you talk about the old drag days!!! His old race cars are in those woods, nail heads, 389 & 421 Pontiac's, 425 olds, 455 Buick's,and a couple of 409s all gm no Fords no Chryslers (except for a few trucks)Its like a General motors cemetery out there!!!!

Hi John, yes a little. If you search abradable powder coating you can find out more. I coat piston skirts with this special multi purpose coating and occasionally build it up very thick. 020" per side for skirt development procedures. It can also be used to take up clearance in cylinder bores. If you search for it on the web you'll find out more about it.
