Yeah there isn't anything like that without messing with the dash. I would love to have something that looks stock, if for the only reason some jack doesn't bust into the car to steal it. With a convertible it is a good idea not to have anything tempting.

My first attempt at any tile work, and she can't see the imperfections, so it's OK by her.
Not bad for a rookie.

If the wife's happy is all that matters.

weekend work

Well I finally got my new wiper motor installed and both wipers working. Had to move the wiper motor up into the roof wood and ran the drive cable thru 3/8 tubing into the two transmissions. I mounted the switch near the dome light wire and ran the wires down the window post back to the wiring harness. The unit works real smooth. Two speeds and intermittent.
Not as easy as the instructions and video that came with the unit but I'm happy with the way it works. Now I have to buy two wiper blades and arms. sc
Oh I finished just in time for the supper bowl.
I added a couple of pics looking up to the roof wood and the two transmissions over the windows. You can see the copper tubing. sc

It fits in there nicely.

I'm still slogging along on the house remodel, but I do slip out occasionally to get parts for the '63 Falcon gasser build! Went out yesterday and bought the 454 Chevy that will power the Falcon, and tonight I got a steal on a Super T10 complete with linkage to put behind it!
I'm on a roll, even though I can't turn wrenches until this remodel is done!

Stuck working on that old 1983 POS GMC trying to get it a bit better to drive ( steering issues, alternator issues, and just general issues) but then again it does have over 500,000Km on it. however I'd love to burn it at times!

Yes I first tried it under the dash but had too many bends in tubing so I moved it to the roof. I have to get the car inspected this spring to get it on the road legal so I need wipers.

Went to the Nashville swap meet. With a couple hundred venders you would think there would be more there.

My big find was 4 origional center caps for my '95 Mercury Villager. They were nice caps and the man wanted 5 dollars for all 4. It took me a few minutes to decide if I wanted to spend 5 dollars on a minivan with 264,000 miles on it. Being the big spender I am though, I did buy them.

My God John! $1.25 per cap for a 95 Mercury Villager? Are you out of your mind? If you bargained with him a little after a hour or so you might have got them for $1.125 Spend, spend, spend! Well I guess if your independently wealthy you can be a " Big Spender" all you want.

With much disgust and envy at being able to afford extravagances,

LOL I did look in my wallet to see if I had 3 one dollar bills to offer him but did not. I figure if I haggled and then had to ask him to break a 20 dollar bill He would throw them at me.
