Got my hood buck done, painted with gloss orange rattle can to better check the shape.

Ended the day with a zip cut and hammer to the buck....

Of coarse I had to completely change the headlights too...I always thought the old VW lights would look good in one of these cars ,turns out they do...

Too early to think of what Im gona do today,yesterday I replaced both the batteries in my 99 Tahoe 4*4.

What am I missing? After you made that buck you have already made the metal pieces so you don't need it anymore? Or did you pull a mould off it? Why is it not needed anymore?

I sometimes lose my train of thought halfway thru something....................oh yeah, the buck.

The shape was whacked. I wanted a pointier snout on the hood but the transition with the radius tighter to the front and changing to a larger radius two feet back looked wrong so I have some adjusting to do.

Been at it all day and not even one side adjusted yet...grrrrrr........

In the pic below, you can see how the light reflection is following thru the radius properly.

The shape I had yesterday was not like this.

we pruned/trimmed the fruit trees
4 apples, 1 plum, 1 cherry, and 1 asian pear
then also did some other trees around the yard

Ahhhh, I got you. Making patterns is time well spent isn't it?

I worked on some visualization for my overall concept. Lowered, skirted, and wishing for the whole ball of wax, possibly shaved and chopped....Anyone been ambitious enough to chop a 4 door??
Oh and I've been laughing at my daughters looking through my parts catalogs and hot rod mags.......the things kids come up with!!

Yep. Found a big issue.

I got half almost done on the fix up. I will use a half buck to make the panels. Just have to flip the flexible pattern inside out to do the opposite side.

I didn't do any work today, but i did get the vette out and cleaned it up and took the wife for a drive. To lowes and to wendy's for a baconator

Sorry i just realized that was what you already done in the pics. Definitely put the skirts on it i had them on my old 51 i love the look. JMO

Photo shop is pretty awesome alright.

Looking good, now you just have to do it, the hard part.
