looks good Vall ,the shroud makes a big difference in cooling ,and to me they look better also, can you drive now without overheating problems.

Another day with no work on the truck. Tonight I had to fix a motion detector on a light out back. Seems we had a little "show" last night with some scum bags going into my neighbors house! We are talking while they were there! Sooooooooo the cops were all over including my back yard. The POS used my truck frame and a piece of my cab to jump over the fence bending the piece all up! SOB! It's the inner piece that goes around the rear window, I'll have to cut up the panel where as before I could have used it as one piece. SOB! All I can hope is as he was doing this he cut him self up on the sharp edges that were out there. Damn I hate scum!

Thieves ARE scum.

As for today's work, I finished off a quarter job and will block it tomorrow. It should have been replaced but in a way I'm glad it wasn't cause it was replaced already with a mig welder, which would make it more difficult to take off, and would destroy good bits like chewing on a rock. Insurance company wanted it hacked out instead. Spent some good time metalworking it so the bondo is in spec, which is good. Rust morted the quarters on GTO judge and tomorrow I clean off and mud. Got 2 little corner window channel patches to make so I'm excited to dust off the shrinker for that tomorrow.

Brian, I HATE thieves...

Few pics of my "home made" trailer hitch. The long angle iron bolts into a crossmember with 4) 7/16ths, grade 8 bolts and the two forward angles bolt thru the reinforced trunk floor with 1/2" grade 8 bolts. I had this "done" last Friday and painted it and when I bolted it on Sunday to test hitching up the trailer, I quickly realized I had no where to hook the safety chains. Back off yesterday, welded the loops on and painted again...

I bought the receiver tube but the rest is cut-offs from a local fabrication shop. 1 1/2" and 3" 3/16ths angle iron and a 1/4" plate in the trunk for reinforcement. The danged bolts cost more than the bulk material.

I drilled a new pin hole in the ball mount to pull it in closer to the receiver and have less extension from the frame.

Brian, I also HATE thieves!!!!!!!

Too Many, the trailer hitch looks real good!

I put a battery in this yesterday and it started right up after sitting for a year and a half. I think I'll order the CV joint that it needs today. My daughter is wanting me to get it going so she can drive it to college.

Too bad you and the neighbor didn't catch them! Had somebody messing around in our driveway last week. I went out in the morning to go to a car cruise, and noticed my pass. side mirror was pushed out of position, and my wife's car that was behind had the mirror folded over against the window. Not sure whether they were just looking at the Falcon, or casing the joint.
After having three cars and a motorcycle stolen over the last 35-40 years, I wouldn't hesitate to using a baseball bat on somebody I caught sneaking around my property.

The neighbor was scared out of his mind! He didn't have a weapon of any kind, he has three daughters aged 4-6-16 in the house and these TWO guys are right there among them! They appeared to be tweekers as they couldn't figure out how to unlock the front door and ended up going out the window they went in! And the friggin window is right under a light, and right across my driveway from my bedroom window! All I know is I am armed and when my wife woke me I was ready for bear in seconds. In Brian's world, there is nothing to think about, someone in a home while these who live in that home are there like these guys did, they NEED to be eliminated from society! PERMANENTLY! No one needs them, they are of no use what so ever to society and the quicker they are eliminated the better for everyone. I have simple rules in my world, any personal contact with other humans in the act of a crime, you MUST be eliminated from society permanently!

It ticks me off that now I am looking into a camera system for the property. I could be buying a new big screen to watch my baseball games on, I could be buying a new set of carbs for my truck, but noooooo, I have to be thinking about this crap!

By the way, as the neighbor was yelling at the two scum to get out one of them went to grab a knife in the kitchen and cut himself bleeding all over the top of the counters!

if they weren't caught I'm sure their DNA is on record. I'm wondering if these are two scums we released cause we deemed them "non violent".

Holy cow! I didn't realize he came face to face with them! We're also prepared for intruders, if they got past our alarm system, and in the house. I'd never think of taking them out if they were outside, but once they're inside they're fair game. I'd have to assume they were armed if they were so bold as to enter when we were home!

It looks great. Turn it over for a front view!

Brian google X-10. Don't be afraid of their site or prices. Their stuff works. I've been using their products for 20 yrs or so.

It must be catching. The neighbors house got robbed last week end for about 40 grand. Lived here for 30 years and never a problem. My personal choice of protection, a Winchester Model 12 Riot 12 ga. Shotgun and 10 St. Bernards. It's pretty hard to sneak around my property with out being noticed,

They caught one of them, not sure which one but they did catch one of them. The one arrested was 46 years old! FORTY SIX years old for God's sake, this isn't a young punk. This piece of garbage has been the scourge of society for 46 years!
