That sounds like a bargain!

Worked on the Stude today.. Doctor changed my meds early in the week and I've felt like crap all week.. Anyways... I decided to finish painting the outer surface of the floor pans. I was going to paint the underside body color but decided to Lizard Skin and black undercoating..

Got it mostly done, ran out of rubberized undercoat..

Decided to put the frame back under the body. Clamped the rollers to the chassis. Got the rear almost all the way under and ran into interferance with the cherry picker legs.. I didn't have any problem before. Gotta figure what is different.. Ready to roll the front of frame under the body.. Ran out of time...

Well I got the driver's side done. Also broke down the passenger side and cleaned off the backing plate. Put the cylinder up to rebuild later this week.

I took out 5 windows, broke one and left the last one for another day. Not a stellar day. But I planned on new glass for the front windows on my 53 gmc truck anyway. No real *big* loss. Just rubbed wrong me when it cracked. But, it is 60 years old. LOL....... Might have cracked if I left alone too.

Got a little done to the El Camino today. I got the old starter out, didn't get the new one in. As soon as I get the starter done, it's on to the brakes. My brother tells me that the 2wd S10 I got for the engine for the Blazer has the disc brake rotors I need for the El Camino. I was thinking they would fit but it was a little hazey.

I was able to find an original 63 manual steering center link for my new Borgeson box this weekend. Lucky for me as I got the guys card at the Back To The Fifties show. I pulled out all the original steering and was able to get the new box mounted to see how everything fit.

Now I am just waiting for the new inner and outer tie rods and idler arm from Global West. Too bad the center link from CPP's complete front end kit was on back order til the middle of September. It's hard to believe they can sell everything needed for a complete rebuild as cheap as they do.

I'm hoping I get all the parts I need to get it back together for another cruise in at Dave's Place in Lafayette by Friday. No more white knuckles driving it down the highway anymore.

I think they're adorable but my wife had one that got the nick-name "Dumb as a stump" ... She taught the goat to roll a barrel, the shepherd to roll over, sit up and a lot more but could not train the St. to even sit on command

We had one that was a great watchdog. We kept him chained up to the gas barrel at night. On morning we found the hose thrown down on the ground, somebody was in a big hurry to leave. Good thing for them the chain didn't break.

Well - today I went to the park where our club show will be on Sept 1 and did a tour of the field we will use, had a confab with the parks staff about what needs to be done, what they will do, what we will do, etc

Billed a client for project completed

Gloated about NOT having to commute to the city (massive wreck had 4 lanes of the freeway completely closed eastbound at 176)

Show me another company that offers a three year warranty on a power steering box to fit my Impala. (Crickets chirping) Yeah, that's what I thought.

At least with this kit I don't have to hack up my radiator like another certain company I won't mention.
