Workin under the dash of my 67 Camaro installing a gauge panel I made to go where the heater control used to be,I managed to get vacumm gage,tach,oil pressure,water temp,voltmeter in,also installed wrning lamp for oil press n water temp in there,controlling the heater valve with a choke cable I bought at O'reilleys
So just taking a break right now.
This stuff is fun to drive but working on it can get frustating sometimes.
That gage panel is like stuffing 10 puonds of potatoes in a 5 pound sack!!!

I started cutting out the RH front lower corner
thin and rotten, but I think I got it good enough
next will be cutting and fitting the repair pieces

took my dash out to do final prep work and primer almost ready for final paint. now I can mount my wiring harness and get it connected to the GM Ididit column. sc

Replaced the rear brake lines and all rubber flex lines on the Polara today. Did a complete brake job last week and when I went to bleed the rears I couldn't get any fluid back there. Took every brake line off the car, cleaned them, blew them out and reinstalled them. The rear flex line which was probably original equipment to this 58 year old car was totally blocked. Unfortunately no one is making those particular units. After looking through the books at my local Napa store I found a flex line for a Chevy truck that had the same ends but was an inch longer. Fit like it was made for this old Mopar. Will bleed them again tomorrow and hopefully this old Dodge (soon to be Max Wedge clone) will have brakes again.... after 10 years.

Happily started on the left rear wheels for this '69 F350. I've always wanted a dually. Then those sides have to be trashed.

Finally got the Pontiac hauled to the yard and got paid. I got real sick last May 6th and was life flighted out for a 5 week hospital stay.Doctors turned me loose after a long recovery.That Pontiac was on my hoist all this time. Engine, trans and rear-end on the shop floor. Will work on a dolly next to move stuff around the shop. Feels GREAT to be working on my stuff. Ter409

Finaly found some time to work on the Bonneville,, Putting all the trim and new weatherstripping on,, It has been apart for over 5 years,, and remembering where all the pieces go is mindboggling at times,, especally since I pretty much smoothed most of the body off,, and have all that trim left over ,, but the header rails over the doors is the head scratcher,, but I got one side done yesterday, so the other side should be a snap ( key word here,,,, SHOULD BE)

Very glad to here you're back on your feet and able to play in the garage again.

Spent the day getting the Polara ready to move under its own power so I can drive it on and off the trailer for the move. Yesterday I bled the new brakes and removed the old fuel pump. Blew out the fuel lines and today I removed the gas tank. The tank itself is in great shape for a 48 year old car, but it is full of crud. Will have to pick up some cleaner and a new fuel sending unit so I can get this restored before reinstalling. The good part is..... it's so nice to be working on something that doesn't require constant fabrication. Taking something apart and then just being able to bolt it back together is nice for a change.

Well, today I changed a motormount in a Toyota Camry and have a window out of the door of a Sunfire right now hoping to get it back in for the lady and it will work. Friggin GM has discontinued a friggin $3 plastic clip that holds the window in! So I will be urethaning it in.

Thank you everyone for the support. O.K. Painted my snow sled and got the snow mobiles ready for this Monday. We are taking some college kids out and showing them the wilds of Eastern Oregon.These kids are from Florida and have never played in the snow. My buddy stopped by with his 51 chev pick-up that has a horn button problem. We both worked on it until we got it working. Went to the local Rust is Gold yard and took some pictures of a 47/53 chev pick-up frame that will be going to Portland next trip. Cleaned around in the shop. Just now came in and stoked up the old wood stove and am sitting down to relax. Ter409
