Man thats crazy we have both stores here and there are no rules like that, and every time you spend any amount at the $general (even 1 dollar) you get a coupon for your next purchase for $5 off the next $25 purchase

I think it is a girl thing Jester. They can not buy just one thing when surrounded by all those "bargains." No matter what my wife goes in to get she comes out with a minimum of three bags. It is cheaper to pay more at the grocery store.

With luck she at least remembered to buy the item she went in to get.

Put it this way - have you ever even heard of third-hand rumors of anyone ever going into Costco and actually leaving without spending a minimum of $100.00? Sure never happened to me.......

Y'know the more I see of this resto on that Ragtop Stovebolt, the more I think you just sorta started with the left-front parking light lens and built a whole new car around it!

Holy bleep! You have done a TON of work - and all of it done to perfection with incredible craftsmanship and attention to detail!

put together the spot repair on the Chevelle. This customer is a complete idiot. He first accused us of scratching his door and demanded we fix it. We then got a written statement from the crap shop who sold it to him at Barrett Jackson that they scratched the door putting it on the car and touched it up themselves. He still didn't believe it was true. Then he claimed we dinged his decklid closing the decklid when we have pictures of it already dinged when it was brought in. While I was buffing it he was just standing there watching me asking me if I was going to buff the fender and doors too to get off the very few pieces of compound splatter that got past the 36" paper. I told him if he wanted them buffed he was going to have to pay so he asked me what I was going to do about it. It urks me to hear these idiots act like they have a show car when it was done very poorly. Tiger stripes, bubbles, no color on the door edges, bad electrical, bad interior, horrible fitting doors, aftermarket junk that doesn't fit and he's over here acting like it's a 100k car. Anyhow, buffed this door today. Oh, and this painter just can't spray. On these wannabee showcars you can tell who's not prepping right when you see these areas that look like heavy peel but they are actually somewhat like a fish eye, but HUGE. There were 3 spots on the door like that. HELLO...these kind of cars probably have wax on them!!! Horrible to buff this guy's work. Trash everywhere, not a natural sprayer. Either too much orange peel or runs. Today pulled out a car...looks great other than the 5 runs. This is a day after learning he has to paint The Gran Sport again because of runs.

Oh and don't forget this gem that I found...PRIMER OVERSPRAY UNDER THE CLEAR(IN AREA WHERE HE PRIMED) on the corner of the door. He acted like he couldn't have done it but I felt the grittiness when I wet sanded it. He just cleared right over it....HACK! door gets painted again. This kind of BS affects the whole team. You got one guy that can't do his job and it affects everyone else's schedule, cause he may not have enough money to pay us next week paying to redo all this crap. I've had 0 zero comebacks in over two years here. This is a joke!

Sorry for the rant.

how could it get any worse? Well today the painter repainted the body and doors on The Gran Sport and had runs in the exact same spots!!! At first I thought maybe he/I didn't sand them out all the way the first time but nope, these are full on runs! Two runs on the left quarter almost the entire length of the quarter, two runs on the driver's door, and two runs on the right door. The solvent pop holes are still there too!!! This Glassurit is now a $700 primer!!!. What are we gonna do now??? Buy another gallon or just spray it with crap? WOW! I just don't understand how this guy has 20+ years experience and was a head painter at cooks collision and have these issues. It's beyond me. He should have just taken a dump on the car. At least it could be washed off. Man, I actually feel a little sorry for the boss right now.

There you go again. Meddling instead of preaching. We are supposed to be talking about the foolish things the girls do, not us.

LOL, Ton of work, yes. Done to perfection? Not even close but I am excited about how it is coming together. Thank you for the kind words. They are truly appreciated.

I am ready to pick up the body and slip the trunk floor in for a trial fit.. Hot diggity.

John
