Got the core and case in today. I stared at it and thought that my 4L80E would look nice in chrome.

So basically, drooling was all I did today.

This weekend was a bit zero for me and my car, and I am STILL whooped and going off to work today is not looking very good to me.

I left work early Friday to go to my nephews first college degree ceremony. Lasted until late got home after 10.

Then came early Saturday going to mass and my wife's moms grave for her first birthday since she has been gone.

Then a 2 hour drive to our first grand babie's first birthday party! Oh My GOD I couldn't have been happier Saturday. That little girl was the sweetest littles sweetie and she made me smile all day long. Left at 8 in the morning got home at a few minutes before Midnight.

Then yesterday was my youngest daughters birthday party for family (next week the wife is taking her and her friends to laser tag for the kids version of the party). I did break out the welding helmets for everyone to gaze at the "Ring of fire" eclipse. They were amazed at the welding helmets and being able to look at it. Family didn't leave until 9 last night.

Soooooo, maybe today if I don't have work too hard at work I'll be able to put some time into the Gran Sport.

Brian

Saturday morning I tore down my buddies 2.4 from his '95 Jeep. Then we went to a cancer fundraiser cruise-in. A little over 200 cars there. Temp about 88 with intense sunrays. 3 hrs was plenty.

Hey Brian, Looks like you had a pretty full weekend with or without getting to work on the Grand Sport. I went to the Good-guys show in Nashville. Lots of neat stuff. Found some dense foam hood lacing at Steele Rubber. Had a good time but couldn't wait to get home and install Servo motor on my sewing machine. BUMMER! I think it is defective and the company is closed for Canadian holiday. Will have to cross this bridge tomorrow.

Holy cow. I'd like to see the car that chrome transmission is going into.

Today, I got started on wiring a '39 Ford Standard street rod. It's about as complicated as anything I've done before. In addition to all the usual power goodies, it also has EFI, electric power steering, GPS, Satellite Radio, back-up camera, etc. etc. etc.... I hope to be done with the wiring in two weeks.

Haha... yea, there's nothing standard about it anymore...except the outside will look relatively stock...once the hood sides are installed.
