What to do

I know hotrodding is supposed to be where you choose your own things to do. but i'm in a bind

i've got my VW's.. that need alot of work
i can wait on the day i get the 63 pickup from my dad that needs a lot of work
i can take my dads 89 comanche that runs hot
my grandpa just gave me a car which i'll make as a cruzing car 1984 dodge diplomat.. thats in ex. cond (i'll get pics asap) and main thing wrong with it.. is there is an AC sensor that needs replacing,1 black rub-scratch (buff out) and the arm that holds the door open is broke

what to do?

That diplomat sounds like a good runner so I would
l go that way and keep working on the bug until that is done..Every rodder needs one in the drive that works..

yeah.. i got my permit.. so i cant drive by my self. but it really is a good runner.. a bit dirty (there again i'll get pics when its clean up asap) but it runs pretty good. hope to add a little bling to the engine. and service it up.. its EFI i thought.. but if its 2bbl it cant be. Anyway paint it black or something and clean the top. then it'll ride like a caddy Also.. the grille is a big tall one so it looks like the RR Phantom sorta

soo very true...
i taught my 20 year old when he was 16 to never beat his street car and always keep a 1/4 tank of gas in it.i am sure he did beat it but.. that was 65k (221k on it now) miles ago and 3 accidents. and he still drives it ,and treats 1/4 tank like its empty.. he always has gas to go when he needs to and never has run out..his crx (or my van) is the fun car he beats on.. and his bike... well lets hope he never finds the real potential of it..
stop fretting over the truck in time it will come to you. do the bug and finish what you started..FINISH what you started..always keep the driver in good running order ..
just my .02 .. kurt

Get the Diplomat road worthy and save your money for what you REALLY want. Which is a ....?

Ya gotta have a goal, man. What really lights your fire? save up for that and don't let anything stop you from getting it. There are a lot of guys with nice cars, but it's not what they really wanted or dreamed of having. They compromised themselves to feed the desire.

build a sleeper out of it as time and money provide. A mild 360 would move it along well.
