What to do with 1981 Pontiac 455

I just bought a 1981 Pontiac 455 with a turbo 400 tranny. Everything is stock, I basically just want ideas on possible routes to take in building this motor. I plan to put it into a 76 Grand Prix.

Are you sure that it's a 455? Pontiac didn't offer, or even produce any 455s after '77. The engine size will be cast onto the side of the block. The casting number is behind and below the passenger side head and the date code is behind the distributor.

What Bill said, except '76 was the last year of produciton for 455.

TH400 was used in the "big cars" up 'til '79.

Once you narrow it down, there are some Pontiac "aces" on this site, including Bill (WDCreech) and LATECH.
