What do I actually have ?

Hey guys.

I just picked up the car in the pic below. The guy I got it from said he "thinks" its a 62 chevy II. I can't find much on the vin on the interweb. Any help would be appreciated.

looks like a 64/65,the 62s had 4 bolt wheels

That's not the original from suspension in there. You can't see from the pic but it has a straight axle in it not sure from what.

does the car have tail lights? all red or red and white (back up)

going by memory from high school,sorry. I had a 63 with those tail lights.My 65 had the bigger lights

Cool. Thx for your help vin. Really hoping someone out there can decode that vin. Like to know what series it is and what not.

From what I read there is a cowl or trim package tag on the firewall and the vin tag is on the drivers side door jam. The pic I posted is the one in the door jam. The firewall has been removed already so it's not there lol.
