I have edelbrock heads with bte roller rockers on a blown sbc and i was wondering what the lasch has to be set at with this motor?

Did you consult your cam company and ask them the specs?......or read the cam card? Are they solids or hydraulic lifters?

its a reed cam nd i cant get ahold of them i bought this car about 2 months ago so i dont know much about it ... it is a solid reed cam

You'll be safe settin' 'em at 0.025" hot (0.019" cold) until you find out more information from the mfg or someone with a Reed timing card.

Reed Cams is out of business, a victim of the current poor economy. Techinspector has a good basic starting point.

If the engine is all together and running, before you do anything to change the lash, measure what it is now- both cold and hot.

That way you will have a baseline to use, and that will also tell you pretty darned close to what the lash should be. If the intakes are all right at 0.022" and say the exhausts are all hovering around 0.025", there's your answer.

The only way this wouldn't be correct is if the valves hadn't been lashed in a LONG time, if there's a lot of wear going on for some reason, or if the lash was changed from having run a "lash loop".

Or if it was changed on a whim by the PO. But that would be very unlikely.
