What do you guys think of the new Pontiac GTO coming out? They say it has an "estimated 340hp", but I doubt it will be that high in production. I think the styling is O.K....at least its a coupe. I wish they took the time to design a good looking car instead of taking the body from some Australian car. What do you guys think of it?? Anyone think they are gonna buy one?

Hopefully GM doesn't turn the new GTO into some kind of V6 or 4 banger front wheel drive, like Ford did with the Mercury Cougar.

Did you guys see the pics in car craft. They had the new GTO and a Mustang pic right next to each other. Looked pretty similar.

The GTO is a cross between a Grand AM and a Monte.
I think they should of went with the G6 body for the GTO. The G6 is a proto type body. It should be on display at the new car shows. |

I like the new Mustang concept, now they just gotta build it. And the gto does look like a Grand am knockoff, but keep it rear wheel drive and put a few horse to it and they may have something.

I think its just plain ugly...it looks like a family sedan. They should make it look as aggressive as the WS-6 Trans Am....that would be cool
At least it has an LS-1 though. [ February 08, 2003: Message edited by: mustang66maniac ]</p> |
