What do you think of this Air Compressor?

My air compressor is older than dirt and it never was big enough. I found a used Huskey 7.5 hp, 80 gal, 2 stage model TF2912 for $800. It has 175 PSI max pressure and air delivery 23.7/22.2 SCFM @ 90/175 PSI. The man has reciets from Home Depot for 14 months ago and he paid double that for it (divorce). I don't know about the Huskey product but it seems like a good deal. What do you think? This is to run air tools, paint gun, grinders, sanders, and other general home shop use.

I think you better snatch it up. I like my Husky compressor. I think they are made by Cambell hosfeild.

Sounds like a great price to me. For a home shop it'll more than enough.

Just be aware that these things are power hogs when they fire up. Mine dims the whole house and shuts off the watch dog lite when it starts up...

Power Hog

My whole residence is a power hog. Last year I replace my heating system, range, oven, added central air and electric clothes dryer. Most everything I had before was gas, but in Oregon electric is less expensive. Beside that it all desperately needed to be upgraded. Now I have a home mortgage again!! When I did this, needless to say I had to have my electric system upgraded. At the same time I had fire and electric services upgraded in my garage. I hate having that payment again but my utilities have gone down and life is much nicer.
