Not really ,just spray it like you want it to look right from the git go. I use 2 coats for everyday work ,more on restos with sanding between recoats. The only problem I 've ever had was when I left a partially used can of hardner on the shelf for a few weeks and although I knew it was a little thick I used it anyways ....Man that stuff dried quick ,I could barely get around the car before it was dry.....The cure (I called the SPI hotline) put some mig welding gas in the hardner can before closing the cap...The gas is heavier than air so the air wont effect the hardner...But that trick works on ALL hardners...
I've also been concidering pro-spray for a base and SS ,I've talked to quite a few pros and everything I hear is positive...Cant wait to try it...

I see your in Az ,Hotbo...I believe the hardner problem has to do with our humidity (man you guys got it made if you can find the shade)...any brand of my hardners will dry up in a few weeks...
I've found a lot of guys that use the pro-spray base but very few have used the SS .Its not available here so I'll have to order it,the price was very reasonable and I like SS for my solid colors ....I'll be using it on my old plymouth ,I'll let ya know what I think..
