And the answer is no :nono:! Its not a thumper cam, Its an old General Kinetiks from My old B-Gasser I covered in grease in 1973 and wrapped in newspaper and put away till 3 years ago and installed it in the 302 (a De-stroked 350 )!

In the B-Gasser the cam red-lined the engine at 8700 rpm in 1973 in a 283. I could rev over 9000 Rpm but my best times came when shifting at around 8500. my valve springs were around 500 Lb. and I had a lot of valve train ware!! The springs on the Vette are around 375 Lb. so it floats earlier I cant get the higher rpm but my valve train lasts longer. I built another 302 for my wife 79 Camaro project LOL Its pretty !!! Mines not ! I put the Comp #305H cam in it. I built her's old skool 60s style http://www.hotrodders.com/forum/atta...1&d=1351022033 http://www.hotrodders.com/forum/atta...1&d=1351022033 http://www.hotrodders.com/forum/atta...1&d=1351022033 Jester |

[QUOTE=wretched ratchet;1602198]OK, if you promise not to laugh :D
Nothing to laugh about the 6's held their own and blew away many V8's, Gas class's were full of 6's I ran a J-Gas stump puller in the 60's! Jester |
Mine can be seen on youtube...507" Cadillac dyno session,
