I think we need another forum heading.

Leave "Body - Exterior" as is.

Create a new forum called "Body - Exterior (for Penny Pinchers and Teenagers)"

you can trace all these pissing matches back to the mopar site and the trimcad paint job with a mit. they just come here to stir up **** and try to justify a cheap *** way of doing things. then you have the pro haters who just cant resist taking a shot.
but just like barry said once , if we can save just one guy from screwing up several years of bodywrok and sweat then it's worth it. just because you are building on a budget does not mean you have to settle for junk. ever notice these guys preaching all this stuff do not do it for a living ? yet they know more than the ones who do.

when I first did my '51 Chevy in epoxy primer. I wiped it down with lacquer thinner instead of W&G remover as many people told me it would be ok.. after the primer dried I was stuck with some pretty wicked looking crackeling effects over most of it..
now I didn't use a high end epoxy.. it was trinity 1945 stuff. but still $100 for the gallon and activator.. ruined a good 2 quarts because I spent $8 on a gallon of lacquer thinner instead of $15 on W&G remover... I DA sanded down the problem areas, and wiped it all down with plasti-kote W&G remover, and had no issues after recoat
