what engine //>?
i have a 79 vette, had it for a year or so now. i just looked up all the casting nukmbers, they dont make sense. engine 3970010/v1103cnr. intake manifold 14057053.heads 14014416 - it looks to me that i have a 350 block with 305 heads. i havent found out exactly which block i have to begin with,many places online, too many diff answers.im trying to figure out how to get the most power out of this setup, i might need to just go get vortec heads and intake, call it a day. any ideas ?

CNR 1970 350 tur hydro trans - 300 4 Caprice/Bel Air/Kingswd Looks like it's a 350 somebody swapped in and possibly rebuilt at some point time. 416 castings are 305 heads.

what do you think about 350 with 305 heads ? - if i have the heads machined for more flow i heard they are good, but i might as well just spend the money on vortec heads.

If you're going to spend the money id skip the vortec heads. They work great if you can get a set for 200 or less in good condition but some of the chinese heads are a much better deal if you're going for new heads.
