Fastest ride

I have a Focus SVT. My wife uses it daily. Very fast: 13.5 second quarter mile runs. She hates the wheel, though. She has wrecked 6 of them.

88 Lotus Turbo esprit that I did a clutch on. The test drive showed 85 mph mid way through 3rd gear. didn't have the time to take it on the freeway for a top speed run.
My first 70 chevelle ran 11.30's and was pretty fast too.
The current 70 Chevelle should be pretty fast too but set up for handling.

The 1966 Olds 442 I owned was definately the quickest. I haven't owned anything that would do much past a buck thirty or so. We radared my 2000 Polaris 600 at 122.

HANDS DOWN THE FASTEST... I've driven faster...but NONE that came from the factory that way. This car eats 427 AC Cobras for fun.

and being a Chevy guy, beleive me, I even hate admitting that!

1970 smallblock Vette that belongs to my uncle. A real neckbreaker. He doesn't even drive it anymore and keeps it for sentimental reasons. My begging and prayers have yet to be answered.

Fastest non stock

I owned a 1963 Plymouth 426" stage #3 with 13.5-1 cr that weighed 3218# with a full tank of gas and ran 12 flat at 120 mph in ss/s class in 1963 on Casler recap "cheater slicks"--car was setup by "Hayden Proffit" who campaigned an automatic transmissioned identical car in ss/a class---ended up as a street car (barely) and ended up trading it for a fuel injected 1955 Bel Air post that the guy was asking $1200 for...WHO KNEW !!! but I have had much faster bikes

My dad bought a 96 Viper Rt-10 back in 1996. I didnt even have my drivers permit yet. I learned to drive stick on it. I wound up destoying a pair of 800 dollar rear tires because they were so soft I didnt hear it squeal when i burned out off the start. At 3am on hwy 50 through folsom i took it to the limit. ( After I had a solid month of driving experiance) The last I looked at the spedo it said 170. Its hard to look down when dark hwy goes by that quick. He said I hit 185 or so before i let off the gas. I'll post a pik of me driving it with my 15 year old kid sideburns.
